Put the ‘fun’ into fundraising and sign up for the Coca-Cola HBC Foróige 5k!
Fun run takes place in the National Sports Campus on Sunday May 24th
Monday 11th May, 2015 - The Coca-Cola HBC Foróige 5k – which will raise vital funds for young people in Dublin 15 – takes place in the National Sports Campus on Sunday May 24th and people of all abilities are being encouraged to sign up today to run, jog or stroll the event and enjoy entertainment being laid on to accompany the event.
Foróige, the national youth development organisation who manage and provide youth projects and services in Dublin 15, is coordinating the run and is partnering with local business in the form of Coca-Cola HBC which employs 300 people at their premises in Ballycoolin. The National Sports Campus have come on board to host the event in their grounds at Blanchardstown, giving participants a chance to view some of the site’s excellent sports facilities facilities.
The fun day will kick off at 11am, followed by the 5k event at 12pm, which is chip timed by Precision Timing. Registration is €20 and is available on Precision Timing’s website and further information is available on Run Ireland’s website.
Cash prizes are available for the first and second place male and female and vouchers for the third placed male and female. All participants will go home with a medal and a goodie bag.
In conjunction with the 5k, there will be entertainment provided, with a short run for young people down the “Yellow Brick Road”, followed by lots of fun activities such as penalty shoot outs and face painting.
